Terms of Service

1. Service Provider

These terms govern your use of services provided by Godfred Frimpong T/A The Food Economist ("we", "us", "our").

2. Services Provided

We provide Statutory Liability Forecasting services for UK food manufacturers, including:

  • EPR cost analysis based on publicly available DEFRA fee schedules
  • 2026-2028 liability projections using modulated fee structures
  • Packaging optimisation recommendations
  • Price elasticity modelling

3. Important Limitations

This service provides trade economic analysis and regulatory cost modelling. It does NOT constitute:

  • Financial accounting services
  • Audit or assurance services
  • Tax advice
  • Legal advice
  • Guaranteed predictions of future costs

Forecasts are based on current regulatory information and are subject to change as government policy evolves.

4. Client Responsibilities

By engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate packaging data to the best of your knowledge
  • Have authority to share company information
  • Use the report for internal decision-making purposes
  • Not redistribute or resell the report without permission

5. Fees and Payment

  • Service Fee: £1,250 fixed fee per Statutory Liability Forecast
  • Payment Terms: 50% deposit required before work commences, balance due on delivery
  • Payment Methods: Bank transfer or PayPal
  • VAT: VAT registration pending. Prices are currently VAT-exempt.

6. Delivery

  • Reports are delivered within 5 business days of receiving payment and complete data
  • Delivery is via email in PDF format
  • Delays caused by incomplete data submission do not entitle refunds

7. Refund Policy

  • Before work commences: Full refund of deposit available
  • After work commences: No refunds, as bespoke analysis has begun
  • Errors: If material errors are identified in our analysis, we will correct them at no additional charge

8. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you receive a licence to use the delivered report for internal business purposes. Copyright in the report methodology and templates remains with The Food Economist.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the fee paid for that service. We are not liable for:

  • Business decisions made based on our forecasts
  • Changes in government policy after report delivery
  • Indirect or consequential losses

10. Confidentiality

We treat all client information as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Changes apply to services commissioned after the update date.
